Optimari doesn't operate a traditional drive-up counter rental. Each plan is arranged in advance through direct contact with our team. That allows us to prepare the vehicle properly, put together the right guidance materials, and conduct a meaningful briefing at pickup rather than a rushed key exchange.
Our three plans map to different journey types. The day plan is suited to Sandakan and its immediate surroundings. The three-day plan covers inter-state Sabah travel. The weeklong plan accommodates extended touring, with a mid-week check-in to keep guidance relevant as the journey develops.
Every plan comes with a documented vehicle check, a briefing on the vehicle's characteristics and efficiency, and materials calibrated to the length and route of your trip.
Our Methodology

All plans require advance arrangement. Walk-in availability cannot be guaranteed. We recommend contacting us at least 48 hours before your intended collection date.
Plan 01 — Day Arrangement
Compact Lower-Emissions Day
RM 540 · 1 day · Compact vehicle
A single-day arrangement with a lower-emissions compact vehicle. Suited to Sandakan town, the nearby coastal areas, the Kinabatangan road, and similar single-day distances. The vehicle is compact enough for urban manoeuvrability but adequately comfortable for full-day use.
At pickup, the customer receives a fuel-saving notes sheet covering the vehicle's most efficient operating range, recommended speed bands for the roads they're likely to use, and a few practical notes on reducing unnecessary fuel consumption during city driving.

Plan 02 — Three-Day Arrangement
Three-Day Lower-Emissions Plan
RM 1,800 · 3 days · Mid-size vehicle
A three-day arrangement with an efficient mid-size vehicle. Suited to journeys that extend beyond Sandakan into other parts of Sabah — the Kinabatangan wildlife corridor, the route toward Kota Kinabalu, the Crocker Range approaches, or similar inter-state travel.
In addition to the fuel-saving notes sheet, this plan includes a route review conducted at or shortly before pickup. The review highlights corridors with lower typical fuel consumption, timing suggestions to avoid heavy traffic on key routes, and notes relevant to the roads the customer intends to use.

Plan 03 — Weeklong Arrangement
Weeklong Lower-Emissions Touring
RM 4,200 · 7 days · Touring-class vehicle
A seven-day arrangement with a fuel-efficient touring-class vehicle. Designed for customers who want to cover significant distances across Sabah — multiple regions, national parks, and long-distance routes — without changing vehicles or renegotiating terms mid-journey.
The weeklong plan includes the route review and fuel notes, plus a mid-week check-in — a brief phone or message contact around day three or four — to note approximate mileage and gather any observations. At return, a journey summary is prepared that consolidates the consumption data and route notes from the full rental period.

JPJ-Compliant Vehicles
All vehicles are maintained in accordance with Malaysian road transport vehicle regulations. Documentation is current.
Written Pre-Rental Check
Every vehicle completes a documented readiness check before each collection. The check covers tyres, fluids, lighting, and cabin equipment.
Customer Data Privacy
Information collected during the booking process is used solely to manage the rental. It is not shared with third parties except where legally required.
Stated Pricing — No Desk Additions
The price shown for each plan is the price charged. There are no additional options, upgrades, or supplementary fees introduced at collection.
Direct Team Contact
Phone support is available during office hours for customers on active rentals. You reach a person, not an automated system.
Efficiency-Based Fleet Selection
Vehicles are selected using published fuel consumption data for Malaysian road use. The fleet is reviewed periodically as more efficient options become available.
